You need to remove and keep the original magnetic base, then install it onto this product.

Overview

A must-buy for E39 owners! No more unwanted armrest tray lifting!!!

This is a perfect replacement for the OEM E39 armrest tray, which also houses the magnetic latch that closes the spring-loaded armrest. We understand how annoying it is to not be able to close your armrest due to a failing or broken armrest tray. 
This replacement adds a screw hole to further strengthen the tray to stay in its place. It does not rely on the center console trim panel to hold it in place. Two 58mm/65mm cup holders can also be added to accommodate most canned drinks and coffee cups.

Installation

Remove the magnets and their hosing on the original tray and insert them into the replacement. Place the new tray and screw in the included Philip's head screw and you're good to go.

  • Tray: Just like OEM, but bigger and comes with a screw mounting point for better longevity.
  • Tray+Cupholder: Less storage space, but with 2 versatile cupholders. Still comes with a screw mounting point.
